Gua Sha is a facial and body massage or "scraping" technique that dates back to Chinese medicine. "Gua" means scraping or rubbing, while Sha refers to toxins or impurities. This technique is part of the Traditional Chinese Medicine system and the term Gua Sha dates back to 220BC. when the Shanghan Lun, an ancient text of traditional Chinese medicine, was written.
The Gua Sha massage use a precious stone made of different materials, created specifically to caress the skin and stimulate microcirculation. This treatment increases the drainage activity of liquids, promoting detoxification and eliminating toxins accumulated during the day. Furthermore, by working on circulation, it increases tissue oxygenation, restoring the natural luminosity of the skin to dull and dull complexions.
The Gua Sha facial massage is delicate, gentle and leaves no marks. It is made to stimulate the dermis, which begins to self-repair and produce precious anti-aging molecules such as collagen and elastin. In this way, skin aging is prevented, maintaining the elasticity and tone of the skin.
It is a great treatment to reduce puffiness under the eyes. In fact, by delicately working the area around the eyes, it is possible to decongest the bags, moving edema or accumulations of toxins and, by stimulating the microcirculation of the area, also reducing dark circles.
For best results it is recommended to perform Gua Sha every day for 10 minutes. And don't tell me you can't find 10 minutes a day to enjoy this beautiful anti-aging massage!
See you in the next article where we will see how this wonderful oriental massage is performed.
